Textile industry is one of the major contributors of industrial wastewater in the Philippines and wastewater treatment is a major solution to this problem. One possible solution on wastewater treatment is the advance oxidation process. This study determined the effects of the main parameters which were initial dye concentration, catalyst loading and BFA/TiO2 ratio on the photocatalytic decolorization of aqueous congo red solution using aluminum plate-immobilized TiO2-BFA mixture. The high and low values for the parameters were 3 and 1 for the BFA/TiO2 ratio, 3 and 1 plate/s for the catalyst loading and 100 and 300 ppm for the initial dye concentration. The highest average color removal per gram catalyst was 1.5495 mg per gram catalyst. The best combination of parameters was 300ppm initial dye concentration, 1 plate for catalyst loading and 3:1 BFA/TiO2 ratio. A two-level factorial design was used and the parameters The factors that have shown direct significant effects on the color removal are BFA/TiO2 ratio, dye concentration and the interaction between BFA/TiO2 ratio and dye concentration with low value catalyst loading while the interaction between BFA/TiO2 ratio and dye concentration with high value catalyst loading has shown inverse significant effect on the color removal. The best combination of parameters was used to determine the order of reaction (n) and rate constant (k) and was found to be 1st order and 0.0002 per minute
