You are invited to our month-long anniversary celebration!
The UPLB Department of Chemical Engineering is celebrating the 37th Anniversary of the Institution of the BS Chemical Engineering curriculum on March 7, 2022. In line with this, our department through the Socials and External Affairs Committee, will hold activities this month that highlight the sharing of intellect, camaraderie, and recognition of its constituents. The activities are open to all DChE-UPLB constituents – faculty and staff, students, and alumni. The following are the online events that the department will host for the month of March 2022.
DChE Webinar Series: Paradigm shift for future-proofed chemical engineering education
A weekly event that aims to provide a discourse on perspectives in strengthening the direction of chemical engineering education, research, and academe-industry linkage. Invited resources speakers will come from the department, academe outside UPLB providing the chemical engineering curriculum, researchers abroad, and the industry. Keep posted in our department’s FB Page and official web site for weekly updates of our line-up of resource speakers!
ChElympics
A weekly faculty-student mixer event where camaraderie and relationships among DChE faculty, staff, and students will be developed and strengthened through online competitive games and team-based contests. Video entries for the online contests and video streaming of the competitive games will be posted via the department’s FB Page.
DChE Awarding Ceremony
An event giving recognition to DChE faculty and staff, students, and alumni. The awards will be presented during the concluding ceremony of DChE’s month-long anniversary on March 31, 2022. Call for nomination opens on March 7, 2022 via Google Forms link.
