UPLB DChE receives donation from UPLB DOST SS BS ChE Alumni

The UPLB Department of Chemical Engineering recently received a total of PhP 50,000 from different batches of BS Chemical Engineering alumni-members of the UPLB DOST Scholar’s Society (UPLB DOST SS). The donation was used to purchase PHAWorks, a software that can be used in conducting process hazard analysis (PHA) using different techniques such as HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Analysis), CHAZOP (Control Systems Hazard and Operability Analysis), What if, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to name a few. The software will benefit thesis students working on process safety management (PSM) topics and will also help upgrade the skills of faculty members regarding PSM. The department would like to extend its utmost gratitude to the following UPLB DOST SS ChE Alumni donors:
