Jewel A. Capunitan is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering and Sugar Technology. Her research interests include wastewater treatment by advanced oxidation processes and biofuel production from biomass. She received her BS and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Philippines Los Baños and her PhD in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from Texas A&M University.
